Dr. Anthony Martin

Dr. Anthony Martin is founder, CEO and Lead Consultant for Doc Martin and Associates. Dr. Martin has been an educator for over 17 years. One of his core beliefs is that education is a gateway to change lives and outcomes. Anthony began school in a small rural school that provided many valuable experiences, but also did not have the same resources in the neighboring larger districts. His experiences there and becoming a first generation college student and graduate, his passion is helping to create environments that provide all students the opportunity to make the choice they want when exiting their K-12 education. One of his core goals has always been to create environments where students can thrive ensuring that the whole child is cared for, not just a focus on academics.

His career experiences include being an Elementary School Teacher, Instructional Data Specialist, Vice Principal, Director of State and Federal Programs, Director of Support Services (Special Education), and Director of School Resources and Support. Throughout his career he has overseen some of the following areas in the school setting: Academic data collection, presentation, and analysis, oversight of attendance and discipline both at the site and district level, management of state and federal funding (currently overseeing over 15 million dollars annually), development, implementation, and monitoring of state and federal plans, student services, special education, Multi-Tiered System of Supports, and worked in partnership with two of other consultants to build and develop a district wide mental health team. Throughout his career he has worked to piece together programs to help improve student environments and outcomes

His formal education includes a BA in Liberal Studies, MA in Education with an emphasis in Educational Administration, an Educational Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Management, a Multiple Subject Credential, Administrative Credential, and Certificate in Human Resources. In addition to this formal education, Anthony has attended numerous conferences and training over the course of his career and is currently a certified CPI and COPE trainer.

He has utilized this education, training, and real life experience to constantly push himself to grow as an educator and as a result has had the privilege to present in front of numerous different audiences over his career. Some of his presentations include Districtwide presentations and panel discussions on LCAP, Federal programs, and bullying. Additionally, he has trained numerous groups of classified, certificated, and management staff over the years.
